Brazilians are discovering Turkey...and the world is learning about Brazil!

It is well known that one of the most prolific economies in the world in recent years is the brazilian one. In a time when the crisis is here to stay for a few long yearsnot many countries in the world can be proud to keep growing in an orderly manner. Brazil is one of the proudest...

Brazil is on course to be the seventh largest economy in 2010 and the sixth economy in 2011, overtaking the UK and Italy for thatIt is predicted that by 2015 it will surpass France and that by 2020 it will exceed Europe's largest economy, Germany.

Purchasing power of brazilians grew 20% between 2003 and 2010.

- The income of the population is breaking records each and every year.

The economy has been stable for years, with low inflation.

The population is optimistic, which increases their spending.

It is the eighth country in the world in number of billionaires.

It's the elevent in number of millionaires (more than 150 000 people) and moves quickly to pass Italy in 2011 and Australia very soon.

- There are about 1.4 million families with annual income above U$65,000 //€ 50,000. The average annual income of these families is U$102,000//€ 77,000.

- the brazilian tourist is the third to spend more money per travel to USA (an average spending of almost U$6000), being overcome only by british and chinese people. With such big power of consumption, the USA government decided to make it easier for brazilians to get their visa. They intend to more than double this number (from 1.4 million to 3 million) over the next five years.

This, among many other details, makes us understand why Brazil - beside China and India - is the new apple of world's eye.

Turkey, a trendy destination for brazilians...

Despite the high lack of knowledge of most Brazilians about Turkey, the volume of tourists continues to grow.

Many people come thinking they will find a typical Arab country, regarding the customs and language. This, somehow, explains why so many get positively surprised, finding a completely different country than they had in mind.

But it is important to note that Turkey has surprised even the most well informed. With its excellent tourism infrastructure, not only in major cities but also in smaller regions, that also show a high competency to receive (and well) tourists.
A central key for the satisfaction of the Brazilian tourist is the friendliness and hospitality of the Turkish people. Characteristics that remind us to the very Brazilian way of being.

For us, brazilians, it is of a really big importance to be treated in a unique way, no matter if we're taking regular or private basis tours/excursions.

See you folks in the next post...
